Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to assess respiratory needs and develop care plans. You will operate acute care ventilators and administer therapies, collaborating with the care team to ensure patient comfort and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Florida licensure as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate acute care ventilators for short and long-term ventilation.
• Be self-directed in absence of Team Leader.
• Maintain department records and enter information into hospital computer.
• Set up and administer routine and complex respiratory therapies for patients of all ages.
