HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist CRT PRN to join our acute care team. The role involves patient assessment, administering respiratory therapies, and managing mechanical ventilation for complex cases.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) in good standing.
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• ACLS Instructor or Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessment including breath sounds and airway patency.
• Administer respiratory therapies: oxygen, aerosols, chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airways placement and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor therapeutic response and notify provider as needed.
• Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergent situations ensuring airway safety during resuscitation.
