Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL seeks a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to evaluate patient respiratory needs and develop care plans. You will operate ventilators, perform routine and complex procedures, and document care in the hospital system with a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving equipment

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' respiratory needs and develop a Respiratory Care Plan.
• Operate acute care ventilators and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Set up and administer routine and complex respiratory procedures for patients of all ages.
• Maintain department and hospital records and enter data into the hospital system.
