Job summary

Heritage-Valley-Health-System is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Heart & Vascular Center in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time, on-site role supports physicians in patient assessment, planning, and care delivery with daytime hours and occasional weekend coverage.

Ideal candidates have NP or PA certification, state licensure, CPR, and compliance with background clearances. ACLS preferred; prior office or clinical experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing with successful NP program completion.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification (or eligible).
• CPR certification and successful completion of applicable background clearances within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other providers in assessing, planning, and delivering patient care in the Heart & Vascular Center.

Office Location: Heart and Vascular Center 2201 Park Manor Blvd Suite 500 Pittsburgh, PA 15205
Work Hours: Monday - Friday daylight, occasional weekend coverage at AHN Beaver hospital

Provides assistance and support to physicians and other medical providers in assessing, planning, and providing patient care.

Requirements

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner - Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program. Three years professional nursing experience in a clinical setting. Possession of a State Registered Nurse License. Possession of Nurse Practitioner State License.

Physician Assistant - Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician's Assistants.

Requires CPR certification and successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Previous office or clinical experience, ACLS certification.
