Penn State Health Medical Group LLC in Wyomissing, PA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a multidisciplinary care team. The NP will lead assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a defined patient population in a full-time daytime role.

Responsibilities include prescribing within regulatory scope, collaborating with clinicians, and promoting evidence-based, patient-centered care. A PA-licensed NP with clinical specialization is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing with clinical specialization required.
  • Two years of RN experience required.
  • Current license to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
  • NP certification in area of practice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive NP-led patient assessment, diagnosis, and management within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Prescribe medications and coordinate care within the scope defined by PA Nursing Board and Medical Staff.
  • Engage in health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education across the care continuum.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an expert in pathophysiology, physical assessment and diagnosis, pharmacology and exercises authority in health promotion and disease management. The NP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of health care. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
  • Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
  • Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
  • Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
