Job summary

Avera Milbank Area Hospital seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join its multidisciplinary team on the Day Shift. You will perform pre-operative assessments, establish anesthesia plans, maintain airway and venous access, and manage induction, monitoring, and emergence of anesthesia.

In this role you will collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff, provide post-operative follow-up, and serve as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.

Qualifications

• Active CRNA license in the state of practice.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• NBCRNA certification and recertification.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines plan of care and communicates the plan of care to patient and family.
• Establishes and maintains venous access.
• Ensures establishment and maintenance of airway.
• Responsible for inducting, maintaining the anesthesia, and proper monitoring.
• Responsible for completing the anesthesia and the emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case performed.
• Perform as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.

• Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire and
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire and
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Upon Hire
