Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join the Mental Health Program. The CPS will provide peer support to clients with serious mental illness in Inpatient Psychiatry under supervision.

The role focuses on recovery, advocacy, and consumer empowerment across inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include guiding recovery goals, aiding treatment planning with the primary therapist, establishing self-help groups, and teaching coping strategies

Qualificações

• Associate's Degree preferred or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certified Peer Specialist license required.
• Identify as a person with lived experience of mental health problems and in recovery.
• Ability to facilitate recovery using standardized processes and group techniques.
• Knowledge of community resources to support independent living.

Responsabilidades

• Articulate personal recovery goals with clients in individual and group sessions.
• Assist clients in collaborating with their treatment team to plan steps for recovery.
• Help set up self-help (mutual support) groups and locate existing groups.
• Use WRAP to help clients create personal wellness and recovery plans.
• Teach problem-solving and coping strategies and share personal recovery experiences.
