Job summary

North Central Vermont Recovery Center is seeking a part-time Certified Recovery Coach to provide direct peer recovery support in Morrisville, VT. The role focuses on assisting individuals toward recovery, guiding them through goal setting, and connecting them with local resources.

The coach will engage families when appropriate and document progress. Qualified candidates will have SUD recovery and Vermont credential or commit to obtaining it within 180 days, possess strong communication skills,

Qualifications

• Direct peer recovery support experience or strong recovery background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse individuals and families.
• Advanced motivational interviewing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct recovery support to individuals in or seeking recovery.
• Offer resource information to family members as appropriate.
• Promote NCVRC services to local partners and communities.
• Identify natural community supports to foster independence.
• Document sessions using paper and electronic forms.
• Maintain HIPAA and 42 CFR compliance; follow NCVRC policies.
• Attend trainings funded by NCVRC as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
