Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives and reviews physician's request for radiographic procedure and identifies the patient.
• Sets up examination room, materials and equipment per manuals.
• Operates radiographic units and performs radiographic procedures in various clinical settings.
• Selects and computes machine settings to compensate for patient size and tissue density.
• Explains procedures to patients and assists in immobilization when needed.
• Assists in training radiologic technology students and new technologists.
