Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Manhattan is seeking a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist to join the Center for Women’s Health. You will coordinate and perform prescribed pulmonary function tests, ensuring accuracy and quality control.

The role requires NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT/CPFT) and NYS licensure, along with strong communication and computer skills. This is a full-time, on-site position at NYU Langone Health’s Center for Women’s Health.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC credential (RRT/CRT/CPFT) and NYS license.
• Computer literacy with Windows-based pulmonary function software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of standards, policies, and instrumentation for diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
• Calibrates and operates lab equipment and performs pulmonary function studies.
• Assesses patients and manages clinical aerosol delivery and emergency procedures during testing.
• Manages pulmonary function laboratory operations and staff education.
• Provides instruction to staff, patients, families, nurses, and physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy

NBRC credential (RRT/CRT/CPFT)

NYS Respiratory Therapist license or RT Technician license

Windows-based pulmonary function software

Excellent verbal and written communication
