Job summary

Epcon is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a pipeline anomaly dig project in Oregon. The CWI will inspect repair welds on excavated pipe and document all work to client and code requirements.

Responsibilities include inspecting repair welds, sleeves, and tie-ins to API 1104, verifying WPS and welder qualifications, and witnessing NDE while maintaining daily weld logs. Candidates must hold a current AWS CWI certification and have 5+ years of pipeline weld inspection experience, with

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI certification is required.
• 5+ years of pipeline weld inspection experience.
• Knowledge of API 1104 and PHMSA 49 CFR 192/195.
• Own PPE and inspection tools.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect repair welds, sleeves, and tie-ins to API 1104 and project specs
• Verify WPS, welder qualifications, fit-up, and preheat
• Perform visual inspection and witness NDE
• Complete daily weld logs and inspection reports
• Report nonconformances to the client rep immediately
