Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a skilled pipefitter on a construction site in the United States. The role involves selecting pipes and fittings, assisting the foreman with installation sequencing, cutting, threading, joining, and testing piping systems, and ensuring safety compliance on site.

The candidate should read drawings, P&ID drawings, and safety guidelines, be physically fit, and able to work around heavy machinery. Compensation ranges from $25 to $35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be safety-focused and attentive to reduce hazards.
• Certified Pipe Welder with demonstrated welding skills.
• Able to read and follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Capable of reading labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Experience reading drawings including pipe shop drawings and P&ID.
• Physically fit to lift heavy objects.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe and materials per job specs.
• Assist foreman in planning installation sequence to avoid obstructions.
• Cut, and thread pipes and assemble joints with appropriate tools.
• Rig and set up pipe hangers, supports, and valves as required.
• Test piping systems for leaks by pressurizing and observing gauges.
• Inspect and comply with safety rules and company policies.
• Work around heavy machinery and cranes; rig and signal loads.
• Set and align pumps and blowers; perform field layout of piping.
• Calculate offsets, miters, and fittings as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
