Job summary

San Ysidro Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform phlebotomy, heel and finger sticks, and operate CLIA-waived point-of-care testing. You will maintain records, handle specimens, and assist in daily temperature checks and inventory management.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR, and basic computer skills, with prefered CPT experience and blood draws. The position may require travel between SYHealth sites and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three months medical laboratory experience as CPT preferred.
• Preferred 30–40 blood draws.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Basic computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture, heel and finger sticks) and manage specimen handling.
• Operate and maintain CLIA-waived point-of-care equipment with QC and record-keeping.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Assist in daily temperatures, supply inventories and department housekeeping.
