Overview:

We are seeking experienced and certified Phlebotomists to support Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers and clinics across the United States. If you're passionate about patient care and committed to serving those who have served, we want to hear from you.

Location: Various VA Medical Centers & Clinics Nationwide

Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem

Shift Options: Weekday and Weekend Shifts Available (including early mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on facility needs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures with precision and care
• Collect, label, and process blood specimens in accordance with VA protocols
• Prioritize patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality
• Accurately document patient information in electronic health systems
• Maintain a clean and safe phlebotomy work environment
• Collaborate with clinical staff and communicate effectively with patients
• Follow all safety and infection control procedures

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
• Current national phlebotomy certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA, NCPT, or equivalent)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Up-to-date immunizations in accordance with VA/federal healthcare requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience
• Ability to pass a background check and meet federal employment standards
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, as needed

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in hospital or outpatient clinic settings
• Prior work at VA or other federal healthcare facilities
• Strong communication and patient care skills
