Formación

• Phlebotomy certification required by ASCP/AMT/NHA/ACA/NCCT or NCCT.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of universal precautions and safety policies.

Responsabilidades

• Identifies patient, collects specimen via venous or capillary methods.
• Verifies and labels specimen before leaving patient.
• Transports specimens within stated TAT; follows lab procedures
• Acts as resource for non-certified staff questions about specimen acceptability
