Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy (preferred).
• Formal Phlebotomy training (preferred).
• Certification from ASCP or NHA required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
• Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

Education
