Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and deliver health and wellness services within a patient-centered environment. You will oversee reception duties, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps with a focus on accuracy and privacy.

Role involves assisting with non-dispensing services, coaching clerks/technicians, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, sanitation, and safety regulations, with state licensure requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Assist with non-dispensing pharmacy services using various platforms and tools.
• Coach and train clerks and technicians as needed.
• Compound medications according to state regulations where applicable.
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and company policies.
• Support CLIA-waived health screenings in line with state and federal laws.
• Report any illegal activity and maintain safety standards.
