Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription processing, insurance billing, inventory, and customer service. You will help prepare and label medications, gather patient data, and ensure confidentiality in line with HIPAA.

Responsibilities include handling prescriptions, assisting with renewals, and maintaining Pharmacy area cleanliness and compliance across the store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as a licensed technician through a national program is required and license must be active.
• Vaccination certification is required if vaccines are administered by law.
• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service in the store.
• Process prescriptions and assist with insurance billing and records.
• Assist in preparing and labeling prescription products for dispensing and mailing.
• Maintain accuracy in patient information and confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Support pharmacists and other staff in inventory and operations.
