Hy-Vee is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with prescription processing, insurance billing, and patient service in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will prepare medications, assist with labeling, and vaccinate where allowed with required certification. You will maintain HIPAA privacy and collaborate with a team to ensure accurate dispensing and excellent customer care.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified as a licensed technician through a national program and maintain ongoing CEU requirements.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, per law.

Responsabilidades

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Handle non-pharmacist inquiries and judgments.
• Process new prescriptions and refill requests under supervision.
• Maintain patient information for prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing drug products.
• Prepare labels and meds for mailing.
• Submit insurance claims and assist with billing.
• Maintain hygiene and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Report medication errors promptly.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and log invoices.
