Job summary

OSF HealthCare's Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician I to assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and safely. Required qualifications include a High School/GED, IDFPR Pharmacy Technician license, CPhT or ExCPT certification, and being 18+ with strong interpersonal and communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license tracked by IDFPR.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or ExCPT.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred: 1 year pharmacy experience, knowledge of pharmacology terms, basic arithmetic, computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and safely.
• Prepare and label medications to match orders.
• Maintain records related to drug use and charges.
• Proficient in dispensing oral medications and IV solutions.
• Provide patient care appropriate to ages served (neonatal to geriatric).
• Stand, lift and walk continually during duties.
