Job summary

The role includes billing and clerical tasks to keep the Pharmacy department running efficiently. Preferred credentials include an Oregon CPhT license, national certification (PTCB/NHA), and at least six months in a hospital pharmacy or related area with sterile technique and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certified Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT) through the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
• National certification through PTCB or NHA preferred.
• Preferred: Six months or more hospital pharmacy experience, or related field with experience in medications, sterile technique, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing pharmaceutical care to the patient by preparing, storing, ordering, billing, labeling, and distributing IV and other medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Performs other technical and clerical duties as necessary for the daily operation of the Pharmacy department.
