Wellstar Health Systems in Acworth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 11a-3p. You will prepare, compound, and dispense medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist and perform essential duties in the pharmacy department.

Qualifications

• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• PHT - Registered Pharmacy Tech; CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician; PHARMINT - Pharmacist - Intern.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compound, dispense medications and perform duties under supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Distribute medications, fill and label prescriptions, and ensure pharmacist verification.
• Operate and maintain Automatic Dispensing Cabinet and related inventory.
• Restock medications and assist with IV admixture and sterile compounding.
• Provide customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
