Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Acworth, GA, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team. You will prepare, compound, dispense medications, and perform other technical duties under direct supervision of a Pharmacist.

The role requires hospital pharmacy experience, relevant certifications (PHT/CPHT/PHARMINT) and Georgia license, with a 20-hour per week schedule. Excellent accuracy, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• PHT/CPHT/PHARMINT certifications.
• Licensed with Georgia State Board of Pharmacy on hire.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication Distribution: prepare medications and IV for dispensing, label and initial for pharmacist verification.
• Automatic Dispensing Cabinet: manage user access, load meds, run reports, restock, recall processes.
• IV Admixture: aseptic technique, prepare small and large volume admixtures, maintain clean room and safety.
• Miscellaneous Activities: repackaging, customer service, process charges, order supplies, inspect and train staff.
