Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy practice, following state and federal regulations, and support pharmacy department duties per company policies.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coach other pharmacy staff.
- Deliver a distinctive customer experience by greeting and assisting customers, resolving issues, and sharing service best practices.
- Support pharmacy operations including data entry, prescription filling, verifying medicines, managing inventory, and supporting clinical services.
- Maintain compliance with policies, ensure accurate sales registration, handle cash, and assist with store maintenance and cleanliness.
- Participate in training, maintain PTCB certification, and stay updated on healthcare developments.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred: Six months retail experience, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, PTCB certification.
