Hy-Vee is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions, billing, and customer service in a fast-paced retail setting in Marshalltown, IA. This hourly position requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and adherence to all pharmacy regulations.

You will assist with prescription processing, insurance billing, inventory, and customer interactions while maintaining HIPAA standards and providing a helpful, friendly experience for customers.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed pharmacy technician certification; must maintain continuing education requirements.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsabilidades

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Handle customer inquiries that do not require a pharmacist's expertise.
• Accept new written prescription orders and telephoned refill requests under supervising pharmacist.
• Contact doctors' offices to request refills as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient information required to prepare prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Prepare and affix labels to containers and prepare prescriptions for mailing.
• Submit insurance claims and assist with third-party billing and troubleshooting.
• File prescriptions after dispensing and report medication errors.
