Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the Medical Center East Pharmacy, assisting the pharmacist with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory control. Training lasts eight weeks on weekdays, followed by a regular schedule of Monday–Friday with occasional weekend rotations.

The role requires certification through PTCB or NHA, graduation from an approved program, and strong customer service and computer skills to ensure safe, accurate medication handling

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB or NHA, as required by the role.
• Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient care practices.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
