Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the Medical Center East Pharmacy. The role involves assisting pharmacists with preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications, and handling inventory control within the department.

Training will be scheduled Monday through Friday during the initial eight weeks, followed by a standard weekday schedule. Requires certification through PTCB or NHA to be eligible for consideration.

Qualifications

• Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information.
• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
