Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for Doctors Hospital. This full-time, variable-shift role requires registration as a CPhT with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills.

The position involves compounding, labeling, and distributing pharmacy products for patient care, with emphasis on accuracy and safety. The role supports interdisciplinary teams and adheres to procedures to ensure efficient medication handling, including IV

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Knowledge of compounding, pharmacy math, hospital pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and drug names.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Adaptable and able to follow procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/compound therapies and label as per policy.
• Involved in medication distribution: ordering, receiving, stocking, dispensing.
• Participate in process improvement activities and training of new associates.
• Propose, monitor, and improve key metrics.
• Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in duties as part of a High Reliability Organization.
