Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified as a licensed pharmacy technician; must maintain CE requirements.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning names.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Handle prescription processing and insurance billing with accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA.
• Order, check in, and stock pharmacy supplies and log invoices.
• Prepare and affix labels to prescription containers and prep prescriptions for mailing.
• Submit insurance claims and troubleshoot third-party billing.
• Report medication errors to appropriate personnel.
