Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician license and ongoing CE requirements.
• Previous pharmacy technician or clerk experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and handling inquiries.
• Accept prescriptions and telephoned refill requests under supervision of the supervising pharmacist.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products.
• Process insurance claims and third-party billing and troubleshooting.
• Maintain patient information and ensure HIPAA confidentiality.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and maintain inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pharmacy and dispensing area.
• Report medication errors and adhere to all policies and procedures.
