Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support data entry, patient registration, and resolution of third-party rejects within a HIPAA-compliant call center environment. You will assist pharmacists, maintain records, and operate pharmacy systems efficiently.

Responsibilities include handling prescription orders, claims adjudication, and patient communications to ensure accurate, timely service and compliant delivery of medications.

Qualifications

• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) and TN Pharmacy Tech License required.
• Experience in a high-volume call center handling patient inquiries preferred.
• Data entry, patient registration and processing of third-party rejects.
• HIPAA compliance and adherence to company policies mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate computerized data systems for order entry, claims adjudication, and insurance management.
• Facilitate pharmacy services through calls with patients, ensuring education and delivery transactions.
• Liaise between patient care units and pharmacy, ensuring responsive and courteous communication.
• Assist pharmacists and communicate issues to senior staff.
• De-escalate conflicts and provide patient assistance as needed.
• Monitor performance and adjust activities to meet productivity standards.
• Conduct initial research of pharmacy issues and elevate complex cases to higher-level staff.
• Review and process prescription claims for accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting service and business operations.
• Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
• Assist with training new hires in the call-center and attend required training sessions.
• Operate computer systems and general office equipment.
• Manage correspondence with patients and prescribers, including inbound and outbound calls and emails.
• Assist pharmacists with technical pharmacy services, including packaging medications and maintaining records.
• Prepare and fill prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
