Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring an Employment Peer Mentor (Regular) to support individuals with mental health and substance use challenges in the community. You will promote self-determination, provide peer support, and model recovery skills in everyday settings.

The role requires NC or PA peer certification, a valid driver's license, and ability to travel as needed. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with competitive hourly pay and full-time benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC or PA.
• 1 year experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues preferred.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Modeling effective coping and self-help techniques to individuals.
• Providing empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assisting individuals in finding resources and encouraging follow through with proposed resolutions.
• Leading peer support groups with individuals served.
• Supporting daily decision making and resolution of minor problems.
• Facilitating social opportunities in the community.
• Fostering development of healthy relationships by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Sharing personal story of recovery and resilience to instill hope.
