Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to provide non-clinical, community-based support to adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders. As a CPS, you will be a peer and role model for recovery, offering hopeful information and guidance.

You will tailor stage-based interventions to each consumer’s readiness to change and support their ongoing recovery journey. The role is non-clinical, non-exempt, primarily daytime, with a comprehensive benefits package from day one,

Qualifications

• Must self-identify as an individual with a serious mental illness and be in recovery, with completed illness management recovery training.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current Certified Peer Specialist certification and valid driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community.
• Serve as a CPS and role model for recovery values and wellness.
• Deliver stage-based intervention aligned with the consumer’s readiness to change.
