Jefferson Einstein is seeking a part-time Peer Support Specialist to assist individuals and families in the Outpatient Behavioral Health Department. The role involves supporting recovery principles and collaborating with clinical staff to enhance patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and incorporate Recovery Practice Guidelines in all work aspects.
• Support individualized patient recovery through group and individual sessions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support recovery plans and implement actions.
• Use personal mental health recovery experiences to motivate and inspire patients.
• Participate in reviewing patient treatment and recovery plans.
• Consult with professional staff to address peer needs and challenges.
• Follow department policies, including conduct and documentation standards.
• Attend weekly supervision sessions with licensed clinicians.

Minimum Requirements

• Lived experience as a recipient of services for a serious mental illness.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 12 months of recent employment or volunteer experience, or 24 post-secondary education credits.
• Certification as a Peer Specialist in Pennsylvania.
