Job Summary

The Certified Peer Specialist promotes PATH's mission by supporting individuals' recovery processes through personal experience and engagement in community activities. The role involves assisting program participants and fostering an environment conducive to recovery.

Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Experience/Lived Experience in recovery
  • DBH-approved certification in peer services
  • COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to receive it
Specific Duties
  • Train and orient new staff on recovery concepts and peer culture
  • Educate individuals on recovery concepts
  • Invite and accompany individuals to recovery-focused trainings
  • Share personal recovery experiences
  • Model and promote self-advocacy
  • Engage individuals through outreach visits at various settings
