We are seeking a part-time Certified Peer Specialist to join our team in our Nazareth, PA location.

The Certified Peer Specialist will:

  1. Provide peer support to individuals, offering guidance and encouragement to take responsibility and actively participate in their own recovery.
  2. Serve as a mentor to individuals to promote hope and empowerment.
  3. Provide expertise and consultation from a mental health individual perspective to the entire team concerning individuals’ experiences with symptoms of mental illness, the effects and side effects of medications, responses to and opinions of treatment, and experiences of recovery.
  4. Collaborate with the team to create a team-oriented environment where individuals’ points of view and experiences are recognized, understood, and respected, maximizing self-determination and decision-making in treatment planning.

Earn $17.19 per hour!

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • High School Degree/GED/Bachelor's degree in psychology or related human service field.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a related field, knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles, and recovery-driven service systems. Personal experience as a recipient of mental health services and willingness to share personal experiences to provide expertise about the recovery process.
  • Must be a certified peer specialist in Pennsylvania.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Available to work flexible part-time hours.
