We are seeking a passionate individual to work with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, or substance use disorders.

The Specialist provides supportive services to consumers of various PMHC programs, as directed.

The primary role involves offering social support and enhancing community integration opportunities for consumers. This position is suitable for someone with direct consumer experience, firsthand knowledge of the recovery process, and who has completed the Certified Peer Specialist Training authorized by Bucks County Behavioral Health Services.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide peer instruction and support related to recovery resources, linkages, and daily activities as outlined in individualized service plans.
  2. Assist consumers in connecting with community resources and accompany them to social opportunities.
  3. Promote community integration and normalization.
  4. Apply strengths-based and recovery-oriented treatment models.
  5. Conduct individual and group support and education sessions.
  6. Maintain a focus on personal recovery and strengths.
