Ozark Center is seeking a ITCD Certified Peer Support Specialist to join the Adult CPR program. You will provide emotional support, coach clients, and help navigate behavioral health recovery journeys.

The role emphasizes dual recovery philosophy and connecting clients with community resources. Responsibilities include guiding clients in social skills, daily living activities, and problem-solving, while accompanying them to appointments and developing WRAP plans.

Qualifications

• Provides ongoing emotional support and guidance to individuals.
• Teaches strategies for managing behavioral health issues.
• Trains, coaches, and supports individuals in learning social skills, ADLs, coping skills, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Accompanies individuals to appointments to offer support and advocacy.
• Provides community living skills coaching to promote independence.
• Assists individuals with accessing public services and resources (housing, food, shelter, clothing).
• Develops Wellness and Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) with clients.
• Teaches illness management and recovery skills to increase awareness of symptoms.
