The Role You’ll Contribute

The Patient Care Tech works under the supervision of a professional nurse, assisting with specific duties and activities of daily living for age-specific groups. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.

The Value You’ll Bring To The Team

• Assists with safe and effective patient care as a team member.
• Demonstrates competency in procedures and basic care for geriatric and adult patients over 18 years of age.
• Supports respect and privacy at all times.
• Provides and records personal hygiene, comfort care, toileting, ambulation, nutrition, and hydration.
• Obtains and reports vital signs and abnormal findings.
• Records patient intake and output according to hospital standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant Certificate or Patient Care Technician certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 6 months hospital or nursing home experience in a patient care setting preferred.
