Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Certified Outpatient Coder - Cardiac Surgery to review outpatient records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for cardiac procedures. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience, a current coding certification, and familiarity with cardiac surgery terminology to ensure compliant coding and optimize reimbursement.

Team collaboration with clinicians and revenue cycle staff will be essential to improve accuracy and charge

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Current coding certification required (CPC, CCS, or COC preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of outpatient coding experience.
• 2 years of cardiovascular or cardiac surgery coding experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and cardiac surgery terminology.

To support a high-volume cardiovascular surgical program, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coder - Cardiac Surgery will review outpatient medical records and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for cardiac surgery procedures while ensuring compliance and optimizing reimbursement.
