Qualifications

  • Fit and adjust glasses and eyewear based on prescription, lifestyle and needs.
  • Ensure orders are received and dispensed as prescribed.
  • Teach patients how to wear and care for their eyewear.

Job description

Vancouver Clinic is hiring a Certified Optician to join our Ophthalmology team. In this patient-facing role, you will fit and adjust glasses and other eyewear based on each patient’s prescription, lifestyle, and individual needs. You will ensure orders are received and dispensed as prescribed, teach patients how to properly wear and care for their new eyewear, and adjust or repair their current frames. Our ideal candidate has experience in an optical environment, delivers outstanding customer service, and can manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of HIPAA, optical terminology, frame styles, and lens material options is preferred.

Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions. This includes care and opinions on vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender affirming treatment.

Camas (4500 SE Columbia Palisades Drive - Camas, WA 98607)

Schedule

Monday through Friday four, 9-hour days plus one, 4-hour day

Compensation

Hiring range for Certified Optician is generally between $28.00-$33.55 per hour, and placement in those ranges depends on an evaluation of experience. Pay Range: $27.47 - $38.46
