Job summary

VisionWorks in Vancouver, WA seeks a skilled Optometrist for a part-time position to deliver comprehensive eye care, including exams, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular conditions. You will build strong patient relationships and collaborate with ophthalmologists in a team-based clinical environment.

The successful candidate will hold a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree with an active WA optometry license and strong clinical skills, and will participate in continuing education and patient education

Qualifications

  • OD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active state optometry license in good standing.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests.
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for refractive surgery.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EHR.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals.

Position Overview

Sowash Practices is seeking skilled and patient-focused Optometrists to provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision exams, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular conditions. Ideal candidates are committed to delivering high-quality care, building strong patient relationships, and contributing to a collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing refractive surgery
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EHR
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Stay current with advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active state optometry license in good standing
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
