Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II-Certified to join our outpatient oncology pharmacy team in Huntersville, NC. You will compound and deliver sterile admixtures, process refills, and support medication management across care settings.

Requirements include hospital experience with sterile compounding, a high school diploma or GED, and active PTCB/NHA certification within 60 days of hire. Some travel to affiliated institutes may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/associate degree preferred.
• Two pharmacy skills required: medication distribution and sterile compounding or medication listing.
• Outpatient Oncology: two years experience with one year in sterile compounding.
• State registration and/or renewal; PTCB or NHA certification within 60 days of hire.
• Active certification from PTCB/NHA or enrollment in pharmacy school or FPGEE/FPGEC.

Responsibilities

• Compounding and delivery of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous sterile admixtures.
• Processing refills to automated dispensing machines and replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
• Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
• Maintaining regulatory requirements for USP797/800, Board of Pharmacy, DHHS, DEA.
• Procuring medications and supplies (site specific).
• Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
• Flexibility to travel to other cancer institutes and/or infusion centers as needed
