Job summary

AED CONSTRUCTORES in Modesto, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support a Skilled Nursing Facility population under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will help patients regain independence in daily living activities following illness or surgery and contribute to a compassionate geriatric care team.

This role offers the chance to work with geriatric and post-acute patients, making a direct impact on recovery and quality of life while adhering to regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active California COTA license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum 6 months of recent COTA experience preferred within last 5 years.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing OT treatment plans under supervision of an OT.
• Guide patients through therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment use.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and progress.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
