Job summary

Medical Facilities Of America, Inc. is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Adelphi Nursing & Rehab Center for a full-time role.

You will provide direct patient care, contribute to rehab plans, and support residents' functional goals in a long-term care setting. Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and rehabilitation potential.
• Administer a treatment program with goals determined by patient capacity under Physician direction.
• Document and educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
