Job summary

SSM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a PRN role in Oklahoma City. You will conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy under the supervision of an occupational therapist in an inpatient acute care setting.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, evaluating progress, educating patients and families, and maintaining documentation. Requires an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field and current BLS HCP certification.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS HealthCare Provider (AHA) certification.
• Must hold an Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Implements an established treatment plan using appropriate modalities and documents patient progress.
• Continually evaluates progress and revises plan of care as needed to meet goals.
• Educates patient and family about deficits and discharge planning, including adaptive equipment and community resources.
• Maintains accurate records of treatment procedures and progress notes.
• Collaborates with physicians, patients, families, and other health professionals.
• Performs duties with safety in mind and complies with policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
