Job summary

Ridgecrest Post Acute is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and treatment planning. You will document meticulously, follow infection-control protocols, and participate in care conferences to optimize patient outcomes.

You will educate residents and families on goals, assist with ADL independence, and coordinate with the care team to ensure smooth discharge planning and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in data entry and health record software (Net Health, PCC).
• Licensed as a COTA in the state and able to maintain licensure with CE.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Coordinate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning.
