Job summary

Wathenahrc is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering occupational therapy treatments in a skilled nursing facility. You will help develop treatment plans, perform routine tasks, and document patient progress to promote independence.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit patients' needs and track progress.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals involved in care of a patient.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and the use of adaptive equipment.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans to help clients function independently.
• Assess daily living skills and help with dressing and grooming.
• Maintain and assemble equipment and materials for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques and assist with emotional coping.
• Attend care plan meetings to review progress and update plans.
