Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support treatment plans under OT supervision. You will execute goal-focused therapies and document patient progress as required by facility policy.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, strong documentation, and exceptional patient service in a long-term care setting. Timeliness, professionalism, and flexibility to perform additional duties are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation or other facility-required methods.
