Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver best practice treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will provide therapy aligned with OT goals and document patient progress as required by facility policy.

The role emphasizes collaboration with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered care, with on-time attendance and professionalism across shifts. Long-term or geriatric care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under OT supervision.
• Provide treatment per goals developed by OT.
• Report to work on time and adhere to schedule.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
